Introduction to Model Couplings

Through MIKE+, the benefits of 2D and 1D modelling can be utilized in an integrated model where complex networks and channels represented in 1D are coupled to an overland surface representation in 2D. Models of collection systems and river networks may be coupled to models of the overland surface.

SWMM5 collection system models may also be coupled to 2D overland models in MIKE+ to build integrated 1D-2D models.
